Welcome to the Windsor-Detroit Media Guide! This guide will introduce
you to all of the major media outlets based in the Windsor-Detroit area.
Detroit, Michigan, with a metropolitan population of 2
million people, and Windsor, Ontario, with nearly 200,000, are
separated only by the mile-wide Detroit River. Together, Windsor and
Detroit form a unique geographic area comprised of two major cities
from different countries in such close proximity. This closeness
introduces a host of interesting variables into the media stew and this
guide sorts everything out for you.
As mentionned earlier, this guide outlines only the major media outlets
in the area. There are a whole host of 'alternative' newspapers
including The Metro Times and Orbit, as well as community-based
television and radio stations that will not be discussed here.
Along the way, this website also contains links to other remote
national sites you may be interested in.
